OSHKOSH, Wis. – The Ripon College men's tennis team lost a 9-0 decision to Lake Forest Saturday afternoon in a league match-up.
The Red Hawks are now 5-12 on the year, including 2-3 in league play.
In doubles action,
CJ Counts and
Ty Rondestvedt put up a tremendous effort at the No. 2 slot. However, the squad lost by an 8-6 score. Top-seeded
Drew Jorgensen and
Caleb Sippel dropped an 8-1 match.
Jack Ives and
Austin Stevens also lost by an 8-1 score at the No. 3 doubles position.
In singles play, Rondestvedt put forth the closest match, which occurred at No. 5. He fell by a 7-6 (7-4), 6-2 score.
Counts fell by a 6-4, 6-4 count at No. 3 singles. Stevens lost a 6-2, 6-1 decision at the No. 4 slot.
The Red Hawks return to action tonight when they play against Lawrence at 7 p.m.
