RIPON, Wis. – Three Ripon College women's tennis standouts were named Academic All-District as announced by College Sports Communicators.
Tia Endrizzi,
Tamera Holland and
Chase Polyak picked up the respective honors for head coach
Steve Burns' team.
Endrizzi is a sophomore from LaCrosse, Wis., and is majoring in biology. Holland is a senior from Ripon, Wis., majoring in psychology. Polyak is a sophomore who hails from Lombard, Ill. She is majoring in English.
Endrizzi competed in 10 singles matches at the No. 1 spot during the fall while Holland saw time at No. 2 and No. 3 singles. Polyak picked up victories at the No. 3 and No. 4 singles slots.
Endrizzi registered victories at No. 2 doubles as did Holland. Both Holland and Polyak notched wins at No. 3 doubles as well.
The 2022-23 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Tennis Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes basketball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA — for each gender.
Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First, second and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced in the near future.
To be nominated, a student-athlete must be a starter or important reserve with at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) at his/her current institution. The cumulative grade-point average may NOT be rounded up to 3.50.
