RIPON, Wisconsin – The Ripon College athletic department was well-represented once again on the Academic All-Midwest Conference team as 167 Red Hawks received recognition by the league on Friday morning.
Ripon had the third-highest number of student-athletes on the Academic All-Conference list, trailing just Grinnell (260) and Illinois College (171). Sixteen members of the women's basketball program received recognition, which led the conference for that sport.
Peyton Rahn (Omro, Wis./Omro HS) was named to the Academic All-Midwest Conference team for the fifth school year in a row. Thirteen other Red Hawk athletes were recognized for the fourth academic year:

Caroline Flesch (Delavan, Wis./Delavan-Darien HS),
Mikayla Flyte (Coloma, Wis./Westfield Area HS),
Natalie Pakosz (Frankfort, Ill./Lincoln-Way East HS),
Mike Burke (East Troy, Wis./East Troy HS),
Drew Jorgensen (Fond du Lac, Wis./Fond du Lac HS),
Justin Bartol (Berlin, Wis./Berlin HS),
David DeValk (Appleton, Wis./Kimberly HS),
Ryan Steffes (St. Cloud, Wis./New Holstein HS),
Cydney Pittenger (Broomfield, Colo./Holy Family HS),
Nick Tenny (Gilberts, Ill./Hampshire HS),
Cormac Madigan (Rosendale, Wis./Laconia HS) and
Abby Gilbertson (Marquette, Wis./Markesan HS).
Multiple squads were near the top of the conference leaderboards for their respective sport. Ripon garnered the second-most student-athletes on the Academic All-Midwest Conference teams in men's cross country, women's cross country, women's tennis, men's basketball, men's indoor track, women's indoor track, men's tennis, men's outdoor track and women's outdoor track.
