RIPON, Wisconsin – After an appearance in the Midwest Conference Tournament for the first time in more than a decade, the Ripon College men's soccer program has high expectations once again in 2023 as the Red Hawks were picked fourth in the preseason MWC coaches poll.
 
Defending champion Lake Forest was tabbed as the conference favorite once again. The full poll is listed below.
 
In 2022, Ripon went 8-8-3 overall and sported a 4-2-2 conference record. The Red Hawks were unbeaten in six of seven games at Prairie Field. Three All-Midwest Conference performers return for head coach Marco Rhein, including first-teamer and MWC Newcomer of the Year Abner Contreras. In addition, 11 newcomers joined the squad this season.
 
Ripon opens the 2023 campaign at home against Wisconsin Lutheran on Friday, September 1 at 4:30 p.m.
