LAKE FOREST, Illinois – The Ripon women's tennis program opened Midwest Conference play on Saturday, falling to Lake Forest College 9-0.
 
Both Yeva Pipan and Catherine Skoglund took games off their opponents on courts four and six, respectively.
 
Pipan and Allison Pavlovec fought hard on court two in doubles, falling 8-2 for Ripon's (1-5, 0-1) best performance against the Foresters (6-2, 2-1).
 
NEXT UP: Ripon hosts its MWC opener next Saturday (September 23) as the Red Hawks face Illinois College at 9 a.m. and Monmouth College at 3 p.m. Both matches will take place at the Ripon High School Tennis Courts across the street from Ingalls Field.
