LAKE FOREST, Illinois – The Ripon women's soccer program wrapped up its four-match, two-state road trip on Wednesday afternoon, dropping a 6-0 decision to Lake Forest at Mohr Field.
Lake Forest (6-2-2, 2-0 MWC) struck twice early in the first half, scoring two goals against Ripon (2-6-3, 0-1-1 MWC) in the first 15 minutes. The Foresters found the back of the net in the fifth and 11th minutes, putting up nine total shots in the first stanza to Ripon's one.
The pressure continued in the second half as Lake Forest added two goals in the first seven minutes of the second 45. The Foresters added their final scores of the day in the 66th and 75th minutes, keeping Ripon out of goal for the remainder of the afternoon.
Lake Forest outshot Ripon 18-2, though the Red Hawks allowed just seven shots on goal.
Cielo Gutierrez and
Alyssa Klementzos produced Ripon's only shots of the match.
Britt Hable and
Andreanna Wilke each spent time in goal. Hable did not record a save in 57 minutes of action, while Wilke tallied one stop in 33 minutes.
