RIPON, Wisconsin – The Ripon women's soccer program played its penultimate match in 2024 on Wednesday night, falling to Lawrence 1-0 on a wet and rainy night at Hopp Stadium.
Despite the loss,
Andreanna Wilke became the Ripon school record holder for career saves with her second of the match, and 509th of her career. She overtakes the previous record holder, Allison Jackson, who had held the record since 1998.
Lawrence (12-4-2, 6-0-1 MWC) scored the only goal of the match in the 41st minute, putting up nine shots in the opening 45 minutes. The Vikings tallied 19 shots in the match, holding Ripon without an attempt.
Wilke made six saves in goal for Ripon (4-11-3, 0-6-1 MWC) playing all 90 minutes.
UP NEXT: Ripon hosts Knox in its season finale on Saturday, November 2 at 1:30 p.m. Saturday will also serve as Ripon's Senior Day.
