RIPON, Wisconsin – Following an impressive outing last week,
Ella Ten Pas of the Ripon women's basketball program has been named to the D3hoops.com Team of the Week as announced by D3hoops.com on Tuesday.
In the Red Hawks' close 50-49 loss at Wheaton last Tuesday, Ten Pas had one of the best individual games in Ripon women's basketball history. The senior scored 20 points and grabbed 24 rebounds for her third double-double in five games this season. Her 24 rebounds are tied for the third-most single-game rebounds in program history, and she became the first Red Hawk since the 2005-06 season to collect at least 20 boards in a game. She was 8-of-13 from the field, made four free throws, recorded three steals and added two blocks.
This season, she has scored in double figures, grabbed at least seven rebounds and recorded at least two steals in each of the Red Hawks' five contests. Ten Pas is averaging 13.8 points and 12.8 rebounds per game, while also adding 3.6 steals, 1.4 assists and a block per game.
In the 28th season of recognizing the top performances at each of the five positions from the previous week, this is Ripon's fourth time being recognized on the Team of the Week. Emily Meyer was honored in 2011, Alison Leslie was named to the weekly honor roll in 2022 and Ten Pas herself was recognized in 2023.
Ripon hosts Carroll on Saturday, November 30 for its home opener. Tipoff is set for 1 p.m. and will be followed by the Ripon men taking on Superior.
