GREEN LAKE, Wisconsin – The Ripon men's and women's cross country programs competed on Thursday afternoon for the final time before the NCAA North Regional meet, running against St. Norbert and UW-Oshkosh in the Red Hawk Open at the Tuscumbia Golf Course.
In a meet that featured just 14 men's finishers and 15 women's finishers, Ripon was outnumbered significantly against the Green Knights and Titans but still put up impressive times and finishes.
In the women's 6K, the Red Hawks had three runners:
Mya Garcia,
Sierra LeRoy and
Greta Mahler. Garcia was Ripon's top finisher, taking fifth in 26:13.79, while Mahler clocked in at 26:59.62 for an 11th place finish.
In the men's 8K,
Graham Hallwood,
Xzavier Navarette and
Corne du Toit represented Ripon. du Toit took 11th in 30:02.96 and Navarette was the next finisher for the Red Hawk (12th place, 31:25.53).
UP NEXT: Ripon continues postseason play next weekend, running at the NCAA North Regional on Saturday (November 16). The women's race kicks off at 11 a.m., while the men's race begins at 12 p.m. Carleton College in Northfield, Minnesota will host both races.
