Women's Soccer Earns Ethics and Sportsmanship Award

RIPON, Wisconsin – The Ripon women's soccer program has received the 2024 College Team Ethics and Sportsmanship Award as announced by the United Soccer Coaches on Tuesday morning.

Teams received either the Gold, Silver or Bronze version of the College Team Ethics and Sportsmanship Award. The award recognizes teams that exhibit fair play, sporting behavior and adherence to the laws of the game, as reflected by the number of yellow caution cards or red ejection cards they are shown by referees throughout the season based on the number of cards accumulated divided by the number of games played.

Ripon earned the bronze version of the award, as the Red Hawks accumulated a percentage of cards ranging from 31-50%. Over the course of 19 games, Ripon picked up seven yellow cards and no red cards (41%). The Red Hawks were the only Midwest Conference school to be recognized.

Under third year head coach Jen Finco, Ripon finished its 2024 season 5-11-3 overall and 1-6-1 in conference play.
