RIPON, Wisconsin – Following three consecutive indoor and back-to-back outdoor league crowns, the Ripon women's track and field program has been selected to win the Midwest Conference track and field championship once again as the preseason coaches poll was released by the league on Thursday morning.
The Red Hawks received seven of nine first-place votes; Grinnell and Monmouth were both picked to finish second and each received a first-place vote.
Ten Ripon athletes return that received All-Midwest Conference honors last season, second most in the league:
Gabby Allard,
Jenny Cortes,
Bridget Finn,
Alison DeNamur,
Minnie Hoffman,
Sidney Hoffa,
Devin Ibarra,
Chloe Studinski,
Heleyna Weiss and
Madylyn Woyak. Grinnell paces the MWC with 11 All-MWC returners.
Cortes qualified for the 2024 NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships in the 800-meter run, becoming the first woman in program history to qualify for the indoor championships solely in a running event.
The coaching staff, led by
Bob Wood, was named the indoor and outdoor coaching staffs of the year in both 2023 and 2024. Wood and his staff were also named the 2022 women's indoor staff of the year.

The Red Hawks begin the 2024-25 season this upcoming Saturday (December 7), hosting the Ripon Winter Open at 11 a.m. inside the Willmore Center. Monmouth is the site of the 2025 MWC Indoor Track and Field Championships on February 28 and March 1, while Lawrence has hosting duties for the 2025 MWC Outdoor Track and Field Championships (May 9-10).
