Ten Pas Named Second-Team All-Region by D3hoops.com

RIPON, Wisconsin – After leading the Red Hawks to a Midwest Conference regular-season title, tournament title and an appearance in the NCAA Tournament, Ella Ten Pas of the Ripon women's basketball program has been named to the D3hoops.com All-Region squad as a second team performer, the organization announced on Tuesday.

Ten Pas is Ripon's first all-region selection since Alison Leslie was named the Central Region Rookie of the Year in the 2019-20 season.

On her way to being named the Midwest Conference Player of the Year – Ripon's first in 18 years – Ten Pas was a force all season in her first campaign as a Red Hawk. The junior led the Midwest Conference with 11 double-doubles, had six 20+ point games and had 12, 10+ rebound games. She set the Ripon program record for single season rebounds with 247, doing so in the MWC Tournament final against Knox.

The first-team All-MWC selection was in the top-15 for the Midwest Conference in a host of statistical categories. Ten Pas led the league in rebounding (9.2 rpg), was third in MWC in offensive rebounding (2.9 orpg), third in MWC in defensive rebounding (6.3 drpg), fifth in MWC in blocks (20), sixth in MWC in free throw percentage (75.0%), eighth in the MWC in scoring (13.4 ppg), 12th in MWC in minutes played (28.5 mpg), 13th in MWC in steals per game (1.6).

The full Region 9 team is below.

Players were nominated for these awards by the Sports Information Directors at the various schools, and schools and conferences were each contacted multiple times as the season wound down to remind them to make their players eligible. There were 812 players nominated nationwide. The ballot was then made available to SIDs, who voted for a predetermined number of players in their region. Players from these lists are eligible for the D3hoops.com All-America teams. The teams will be released March 16, at the national championship game.
