RIPON, Wisconsin – After a successful 2024 season on the course and in the classroom, both the Ripon men's and women's cross country programs were named All-Academic Teams by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) as announced by the organization on Thursday afternoon.
To be recognized as an All-Academic Team, a program's grade-point average must have been at least 3.10 for the fall 2024 semester. The Ripon women's team GPA for the fall 2024 semester was 3.53, while the men's was 3.42.
Women's cross country earned a third-place finish at the 2024 Midwest Conference Championships, while the men came in fourth place.
Matt Seeber was named the MWC's Elite 20 award winner for the second consecutive year after having the highest grade-point average among participants in the sport's culminating championship. Additionally, a total of six Red Hawks were named All-Midwest Conference:
Jenny Cortes (second place),
Gabby Allard (11th place),
Joley Berger (12th place),
Kiki Sherman (19th place),
Rainier Villanueva (sixth place) and
Christian Kuwaye (12th place).
On the regional level, Cortes earned USTFCCCA All-Region honors for the second consecutive season with a 21st-place finish at the 2024 NCAA North Regional.
The 2025 cross country schedules for both programs will be announced at a later date.
