Martina Palazzolo (Sterling Heights, Mich., Utica Ford HS) would score the sole Ripon goal of the contest.
The Red Hawks faced their toughest test of the season so far against the #11 ranked team in the country, as the Foresters opened the game with a goal inside the first six minutes of action. Midfielder
Cecilia Strom (Ripon, Wis., Ripon HS) would take the lone Ripon shot of the first half, missing wide late in the first, while the Foresters would find the back of the net twice in the first 45 minutes. Goalkeeper
Britt Hable (Oshkosh, Wis., Oshkosh West HS) would do well against a barrage of shots, recording 11 saves on 21 shots faced for the game.
The second half would see Lake Forest further their lead, scoring two more before Palazzolo would deny the shutout with an 87th minute goal. The game would be played above the whistle, with Ripon committing just four fouls across the match and Lake Forest committing none.
The Red Hawks return to action this Saturday, taking on Monmouth College. The Fighting Scots enter the contest 6-5-2 and 2-2-1 in the Midwest Conference, and are coming off a 1-5 loss to Illinois College.
