GRINNELL, Iowa -- The Ripon College women's soccer team battled to a hard-fought scoreless draw on the road Saturdat against Grinnell College in Midwest Conference play.

The Red Hawks turned in a strong defensive performance, anchored by senior goalkeeper Britt Hable (Oshkosh, Wis., Oshkosh West HS), who tallied nine saves to secure the shutout. Grinnell applied consistent offensive pressure with 13 total shots, including nine on goal, but Ripon's back line held firm to preserve the clean sheet.

Offensively, Ripon produced six shots, three on target, led by sophomore Addison Misner (Richland, Mich., Gull Lake HS) with two shots on goal and senior Cielo Gutierrez (Oshkosh, Wis., Valley Christian School) adding another. The Red Hawks also created several chances from set pieces, earning five corner kicks in the match.

With the draw, Ripon moves to 2-6-3 overall and 1-1-1 in Midwest Conference play, while Grinnell sits at 3-5-3 and 0-1-2 in the conference.

The Red Hawks will look to build on the momentum when they travel to Maranatha Baptist on Tuesday, Oct 7, for a 4 pm nonconference matchup.
