MADISON, Wis. -- The Ripon College women's basketball team continued its strong start to the 2025-26 season with a commanding 79-40 road win over Edgewood College on Tuesday night at the Todd Wehr Edgedome. The victory moves the Red Hawks to 3-0 on the year.
Ripon put together a complete performance on both ends of the floor, shooting 45.1% from the field and 47.1% from three-point range while holding Edgewood to just 40 points. The Red Hawks built a 38-19 halftime lead and broke the game open with a dominant 27-point third quarter.
Senior Natalie Rauwolf (Madison, Wis., Madison Memorial HS) led the way with 18 points, knocking down four three-pointers and grabbing five rebounds. Sophomore Karsyn Nelson (Cottage Grove, Wis., Monona Grove HS) added 13 points on 6-for-10 shooting, while sophomore Halle Van Horn (Fredonia, Wis., Random Lake HS) tallied 11 points and four assists. Junior Sophie Schlieve (Antigo, Wis., Antigo HS) controlled the paint with 10 rebounds, and junior Laney Havlovitz (Wild Rose, Wis., Wild Rose HS) added to the stat sheet with seven assists, five rebounds, and two steals.
Ripon's depth was once again on display, with the bench contributing 31 points and 13 players finding the scoring column. The team also won the rebounding battle 53-30 and forced 16 turnovers, converting them into points on the other end.
The Red Hawks will look to keep their undefeated start alive when they host Wheaton College (Ill.) on Tuesday, Nov 18, at 5:30 pm in the Weiske Gymnasium.
