WINONA, Minnesota – The Ripon men's tennis program fell 7-0 to Saint Mary's (Minn.) on Saturday afternoon inside the Winona Tennis Center to open its 2025 spring schedule.
 
Doubles were close throughout, as both Ripon (0-2) and Saint Mary's (3-3) were within a game of each other for a majority of the session on all three courts. The Cardinals took court two 7-5, and clinched the doubles point with a 7-6 victory on court one to lead 1-0. SMU ended doubles with a 6-3 win on court three.
 
In singles, the Cardinals doubled their lead with a straight-set win on court three. They also picked up victories on courts one, two, four, five and six – all in straight sets – to close out the win.
 
NEXT UP: Ripon has two weeks off before competing in Owatonna, Minnesota against Martin Luther (10 a.m.) and Crown (2 p.m.) on Saturday, February 15.
