Lawrence (6-19, 4-12 MWC) took an early lead, scoring 10 of the first 15 points in the first five minutes. However, Ripon responded with a 7-0 run. The teams went back and forth from there, but a 6-0 spurt by the Vikings put them in front 28-25 with three minutes left in the half. However, the Vikings woke up with 10 consecutive points of their own to pull within 43-40.
