Postseason Up Next For Track and Field After Regular Season Finale

OSHKOSH, Wisconsin – The Ripon track and field programs finished up their indoor regular season schedules on Saturday, competing at the UW-Oshkosh Titan Challenge inside the Kolf Sports Center.
 
In the always-fast 60-meter dash, Jacoby Cefalu earned a spot in the finals and finished second with a finals time of 6.84 to break his previous school record. He now is tied for 16th nationally in the 60-meter dash.
 
Both Zak Ladage and Dorian Phillips qualified for the 60-meter hurdle finals – Ladage took fifth in 8.82, while Phillips was sixth in 8.95. To wrap up the meet, the men's 4x400 relay of Jacob Davies, Adisun Romprey, Cefalu and Rainier Villanueva finished fourth with a time of 3:27.64.
 
On the women's side, Sidney Hoffa qualified for the 60-meter dash finals, taking sixth with a time of 8.18. She also placed sixth in the 200-meter dash (27.14).  Jenny Cortes had an impressive 800-meter run; the junior missed a new school record by less than half of a second but settled for a second-place finish with a time of 2:14.33. She now stands 19th in Division III in the 800. Also in distance, Gabby Allard was the 3K runner-up with a time of 10:45.44.
 
Tatum Trudell placed 10th in the 400, doing so in 1:02.63. Minnie Hoffman also picked up 10th place, finishing the 800 in 2:26.07.
 
In field events, Hoffa had another impressive outing with a 5.32m mark in the long jump to take second. Chloe Studinski took sixth in the high jump (1.52m), Nicole Arnhold was sixth in the triple jump (10.20m) and Kyan Lins finished eighth in the men's high jump (1.83m).
 
Ripon had three of the top-10 finishers in the men's triple jump, as Ben Fisher (12.59m), Logan Vander Galien (12.40m) and Nick Trzebiatowksi (12.22m) took seventh, eighth and 10th respectively. Noah Hanson took seventh in the men's shot put (14.42m) while Hannah Michaels earned eighth place in the same women's event with a toss of 11.07m.
 
UP NEXT
Ripon enters postseason play next weekend, competing at the 2025 Midwest Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships on Friday and Saturday (February 28-March 1). This year's indoor championships are hosted by Monmouth.
