Men's Track and Field

Two Red Hawks Named USTFCCCA All-Region

RIPON, WisconsinJacoby Cefalu and Ben Fisher of the Ripon men's track and field program have been named indoor track and field all-region athletes by the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association as announced by the USTFCCCA on Wednesday.

Cefalu was honored in the 200-meter dash, while Fisher was named All-Region in the high jump.

Cefalu's 200-meter dash school record time of 21.83 in the Ripon Alumni Dual Meet on January 18 vaulted him into the top five regionally. The senior was the Midwest Conference runner-up in the 200 at the MWC Indoor Championships two weeks ago.

A three-time indoor national qualifier and 2023 All-American in the high jump, Fisher's jump of 2.07m in the Red Hawk Opener on January 24 not only clinched his spot at NCAAs, but set a new school record in the indoor high jump and placed him second regionally at the time. On his way to becoming the Midwest Conference Men's Outstanding Field Performer at last weekend's MWC Championships, the senior won the high jump.

The top 5 individuals in each event from each region earned All-Region distinction, in addition to each member of the region's top 3 relay teams.

Both Red Hawks are set to compete in the NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships on Friday and Saturday (March 14-15) in Rochester, New York.
