HILTON HEAD ISLAND, South Carolina – The Ripon women's tennis program defeated Stevenson 4-3 on Tuesday morning in the Red Hawks' first of four spring break matches.
Ripon (3-15) won a competitive doubles point, as
Tia Endrizzi and
Allison Pavlovec took court two 6-4. Though Stevenson (3-3) won court one, the Mustangs did not have enough available players for doubles as the Red Hawks picked up a win by default on court three.
The opposition took the first, second and third courts to open singles play. Ripon clinched the match with a 6-2, 6-2 triumph on the fourth line by
Jessi Griepentrog and a 6-0, 6-0 court five win by
Isabella Engstrom as the Mustangs only had five available singles players.
