DE PERE, Wisconsin – The Ripon women's tennis program returned from a two-week layoff on Sunday afternoon, falling to St. Norbert 7-0 inside the Green Bay Tennis Center.
Ripon (2-15) fell behind in doubles, but not without putting up a fight – the Red Hawks dropped court one 6-3 and court three 6-1, though
Allison Pavlovec and
Catherine Skoglund were 6-4 winners on the second court.
St. Norbert (8-8) took command in singles as the Green Knights posted straight set victories on all six courts to finish off the shutout.
Josie Rondestvedt fell 6-3, 7-6 (2) while Skoglund was defeated 6-1, 7-5 in Ripon's best singles performances.
NEXT UP: Ripon plays three matches in Hilton Head, South Carolina during spring break, starting with a 1:00 p.m. CT match against Nazareth on Sunday, March 16.
