HILTON HEAD ISLAND, South Carolina – With only four available players, the Ripon men's tennis program fell to Wooster 7-0 and Nazareth 6-1 to wrap up its spring break trip.
Wooster (4-4) won the doubles point, taking both courts. In singles – with default wins already in hand on the fifth and sixth courts – the Scots clinched the match with straight-set wins on the second and third lines. Ripon (4-7) was unable to take courts one and four, suffering the sweep.
In match two, Nazareth (4-4) jumped out to the early lead by winning the doubles point. In singles,
Caleb Sippel picked up Ripon's only point of the day with a 6-3, 6-4 win on the top line as the Eagles picked up wins on courts two, three and four.
