HILTON HEAD ISLAND, South Carolina – The Ripon women's tennis program fell 5-2 to Wooster and 6-1 to Nazareth on Thursday in the Red Hawks' third and fourth matches over a three-day period.
 
Ripon (4-17) fell behind early as Wooster (4-5) won the doubles point. The Scots took all three courts there, and then added to their lead on court one and three in singles. However, 
Jessi Griepentrog picked up a 6-3, 7-6 (3) win on court two to make it a 3-1 game.
 
Wooster took courts four and five, though 
Emily Bittinger gained another point for Ripon with a 6-3, 7-6 (7) victory on the sixth line.
 
In the nightcap, Nazareth (9-9) took the early lead by sweeping all three doubles courts. In singles, the Eagles doubled their lead with a straight-set win on the top line. However, Ripon got a point back with a 6-2, 6-3 win on court two by 
Catherine Skoglund.
 
Leading 3-1, Nazareth finished the match with wins on courts four, five and six to clinch the victory.
