Quartet of Red Hawks Named CSC Academic All-District

RIPON, Wisconsin – Four members of the Midwest Conference champion Ripon women's basketball program have been named Academic All-District by College Sports Communicators as announced on Tuesday.

Laney Havlovitz, Natalie Rauwolf, McKenzie Bestor and Anna Fahrney were all recognized for their efforts academically and athletically.

To be eligible for academic all-district honors, student-athletes must have a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or above while playing in 90% or starting in 60% of their team's competitions in the season.

Havlovitz, a sophomore Elementary and Psychology major from Wild Rose, Wisconsin, had a breakout season in 2025. She was named a first team All-Midwest Conference selection, and entered the Ripon record books in single-season assists (104), single-season steals (64), single-game assists (9) and single-game made free throws (10).

Bestor, a Secondary Education and Mathematics major from La Valle, Wisconsin, was one of Ripon's biggest bench pieces in 2024-25 after missing all of the 2023-24 season due to injury. She played in 27 out of a possible 28 games, scoring a career-high 14 points against Dubuque in November.

Rauwolf, a junior Exercise Science major from Madison, Wisconsin, continued to be a regular starter for head coach Lauren Busalacchi. She averaged 7.3 points per game and was a 34.5% shooter from three-point range. Rauwolf shot over 70% from the free throw line and scored a season-high 18 points in the opener at Puget Sound.

Fahrney, a senior Exercise Science major from Winneconne, Wisconsin, wrapped up her time in a Red Hawk uniform by playing in all 28 games and making 15 starts. She had a breakout game against Knox in December, scoring 18 points on 58.3% shooting from the floor. Fahrney's best season from three-point range came in 2024-25, where she was 18-of-43 from deep (41.9%).

Ripon finished the 2024-25 with a school record 23 wins, winning its second consecutive Midwest Conference Tournament title. The Red Hawks fell to UW-Stout in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament, but set school records for consecutive wins (14) and consecutive home wins (15).
