Pair of First Place Finishes Highlight Competitive Phil Esten Challenge

LA CROSSE, Wisconsin – Several members of the Ripon track and field programs competed at the Phil Esten Challenge on Friday on the campus of UW-La Crosse.
 
In the men's 4x400 relay, the foursome of Seth Bunders, Jacoby Cefalu, Adisun Romprey and Jacob Davies won the event with a time of 3:22.37. Ben Fisher took second in the high jump with a top mark of 1.91, while Bunders took fifth place in the 400 with a time of 50.09.
 
On the women's side, Bridget Finn won the high jump with a top mark of 1.61m while Jenny Cortes took fourth in the 1500 (4:40.54). Two Red Hawks finished inside the top 10 in the 10K, as Joley Berger (37:33.14) and Mikayla Flyte (37:44.57) took eighth and 10th, respectively.

Ripon heads to De Pere next Saturday (April 26) for the St. Norbert College Invitational beginning at 10:30 a.m.
