GLENDALE, Wisconsin – The Ripon baseball program fell 7-5 to MSOE on Tuesday afternoon at MSOE Raiders Stadium.
MSOE (11-10) got going early, putting up three runs against Ripon (8-12) in the opening inning. The hosts added one in the third and two in the fourth, pushing their advantage to 6-0 through the early innings.
The Red Hawks kept MSOE off the board until the seventh, when the Raiders plated one more.
Ripon then put together a rally in the eighth, scoring five times.

Alex Pankratz connected on an RBI single to score Hanselman. A wild pitch scored
Jason Clark and
Gabriel Zielinski walked with the bases loaded to bring the Red Hawks closer.
David Kleier grounded out to score the fifth run of the inning, but a flyout ended the inning with two runners in scoring position.
Ripon couldn't move a runner past first in the ninth as the comeback fell short.
Pankratz (2x5, RBI, run) and
Brock Peterson (2x4, run) led Ripon offensively, while Gerhardt, Hanselman and
Evan Olson also recorded hits for the Red Hawks.
Caleb Mammoser got the start on the mound for Ripon and took the loss, allowing eight hits and four earned runs over three innings.
Brett Tetzlaff,
Antonio DeBartolo,
Rex Bayer and
Travis Bates gave up a combined three hits in five innings of relief.
NEXT UP: Ripon continues its NACC roadtrip on Thursday, April 10 as the Red Hawks visit Marian. First pitch is set for 4:30 p.m.
