RIPON, Wisconsin –
Dameco Walker,
Jenny Cortes and
Bridget Finn of the Ripon track and field program have been named All-Region performers by the USTFCCCA as announced by the organization on Wednesday.
This is the fourth consecutive long jump all-region honor for Walker and the sixth career outdoor all-region honor for the graduate student.
Finn received recognition in the heptathlon and high jump, her first such honors in both events. Cortes earned All-Region status in the 800 for her first career outdoor track and field postseason honor.
At this year's Midwest Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships, Walker won the long jump (7.47m) which is currently the fifth-best mark in all of Division III this season. The senior has secured his sixth and seventh appearances at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships and will finish his career this weekend in Ohio looking to add onto his five All-American honors in a Ripon uniform.
Cortes had the best 800 run of her career last Wednesday at Augustana's NCAA Final Qualifier. Crossing the tape in 2:12.60, she broke her own school record, vaulted into the top-40 nationally and secured All-Region status. The junior earned All-Midwest Conference honors in the 800, 1500 and 4x400 at the 2025 outdoor conference race with a trio of third-place finishes.
Finn has put together a record year for Ripon, smashing the school record in the heptathlon on April 12 with a 4,495-point performance to vault her into the top-five nationally at the time. Her 1.70m high jump mark on May 2 has proved to be the best high jump mark in the entire North Region this outdoor season. The graduate student was the top point-getter at this year's MWC Championships, earning 39 total points – the next closest female had 30 and the closest male had 31.75.
The top-5 individuals in each event from each region earned All-Region distinction, in addition to each member of the region's top-3 relay teams.
Walker and Finn will end their Ripon careers at the 2025 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Geneva, Ohio, this weekend (May 22-24).
