RIPON, Wis. -- The Ripon College men's and women's tennis programs earned academic honors from the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA), as announced by the ITA on Wednesday, July 23.
Three men and thirteen women for Red Hawks tennis would earn ITA Scholar-Athlete standings, requiring a GPA of at least 3.5 on a 4.0 scale for the current academic year, while being eligible for competition. Freshmen
Kyle Flook (Sheboygan, Wis., Sheboygan South HS) and
Ryan Richter (Plainfield, Ill., Plainfield Central HS) joined junior
Caleb Sippel (Appleton, Wis., Appleton North HS) on the list for the men's program, while the women's team saw freshmen
Emily Bittinger (Shell Rock, Iowa, Waverly-Shell Rock HS),
Josie Rondestvedt (Altoona, Wis., Altoona HS), Isabella Engstrom (Ripon, Wis., Ripon HS), sophomores
Ella Clark (Columbus, Wis., Columbus HS), Jessi Griepentrog (Freedom, Wis., Fox Valley Lutheran HS), juniors
Allison Pavlovec (Decorah, Iowa, Decorah HS), Catherine Skoglund (Roberts, Wis., St. Croix Central HS), Hadley Berendsen (Kimberly, Wis., Kimberly HS), and seniors
Emma Ziebell (Milwaukee, Wis., Martin Luther HS),
Kelly Kline (Sharon, Wis., Big Foot HS),
Aubrey Malotky (Clintonville, Wis., Clintonville HS),
Chase Polyak (Lombard, Ill., Glenbard East HS), and
Tia Endrizzi (La Crosse, Wis., La Crosse Logan HS) achieve the academic metric.
Both the men's and women's programs were also named ITA All-Academic Teams, sustaining a team GPA of 3.2 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
