FOND DU LAC, Wis. -- Red Hawks women's tennis earned a decisive victory today over the Marian University Sabres (1-5, 1-3 NACC), winning at all flights without dropping a set. 

Doubles tandem Josie Rondestvedt (Altoona, Wis., Altoona HS) and Hadley Berendsen (Kimberly, Wis., Kimberly HS) would draw first blood against the hosts, winning at the one spot without dropping a game, while three doubles pair Ella Clark (Columbus, Wis., Columbus HS) and Hailey Sponholz (Milwaukee, Wis., Greenfield HS) would follow close behind with a 6-2 win to take the doubles point. Two doubles team Catherine Skoglund (Roberts, Wis., St. Croix Central HS) and Jessi Griepentrog (Freedom, Wis., Fox Valley Lutheran HS) would face some troubles, but convert clutch points down the stretch to take a 7-5 win at the flight, securing a clean doubles sweep for the visitors.

Singles would progress smoothly for the Red Hawks, with the visitors giving up just four total games across the three through six flights. At the one spot, Rondestvedt would take both sets with comfortable double-break leads, while Berendsen would face the closest competition at two singles, winning by a single break each set. 

The win pushes the Red Hawks to 1-6 this season, with six more dual matches to play in the regular fall season. Ripon continues their schedule against UW-Stout on Sept 27, with the Blue Devils entering the contest 2-5 after an 0-7 loss to UW-Superior.
