RIPON, Wis. -- The Ripon College Esports program earned their fourth consecutive victory in Marvel Rivals this week, competing against the Milwaukee School of Engineering (3-2 WEC MV). Senior Kayden Hardy (JrPongidae) earned MVP for each round of competition.

The Red Hawks put together a dominating performance over the Red Raiders in Wednesday's Marvel Rivals match up. Starting with Domination, Ripon earned a 2-1 win over MSOE, slipping slightly in the second round despite carrying a 99% capture rate. Although the round went to overtime, Ripon assembled an overpowering statistical performance, dealing out 30 more kills and over 10k more damage than their opponents. Hardy led the Red Hawks, taking part in 35 kills and dealing 20,485 damage.

"We had good comms, we had good pings, so it was really easy to target the people that were out of position, and that makes my job as Hitscan so much easier." Hardy said of the match.

Convergence also went the Red Hawks's way, with Ripon earning a straightforward win behind a lopsided 30-3 team kill/death ratio. For his part, Hardy dealt a team high 19,175 damage, more than 3k more than MSOE's top performer. Freshman Leon Steinbrenner (Taku) led the Red Hawks in healing, recording 29 assists with 18k damage healed. With a 2-0 lead, Ripon entered Convoy with a comfortable lead, putting the match away with their strongest team performance, winning the game without a single team death.

Ripon Esports returns to action Thursday, October 22 for Valorant against UW-Whitewater. The Warhawks carry a 1-3 record in the title, while Ripon holds a 2-2 record.
