Ripon Closes Season with Senior Day Victory Over Beloit, 65-58

RIPON, Wis. -- On a celebratory Senior Day inside Weiske Gymnasium, the Ripon College men's basketball team capped its 2025-26 campaign with a hard-fought 65-58 victory over Beloit on Saturday afternoon. The Red Hawks battled through six ties and five lead changes before pulling away late in the second half.

After trailing 34-32 at halftime, Ripon turned in a strong second-half performance, shooting nearly 39 percent from the floor over the final 20 minutes while holding Beloit to just 24 points. The Red Hawks controlled key stretches with defensive stops and timely baskets to secure the win.

Senior Kolby Williams (New Orleans, La., Heights HS) led the way with a game-high 20 points and nine rebounds, anchoring Ripon's presence in the paint. He consistently attacked the glass and provided key buckets during pivotal stretches in the second half.

Senior CJ Brown (Minneapolis, Minn., Minneapolis North Area HS) added 11 points, knocking down a pair of three-pointers and going 4-for-5 at the free-throw line. Brown also contributed three steals, including a pair in the closing minutes that helped Ripon maintain control.

Junior Seth Bunders (Wauzeka, Wis., Wauzeka-Steuben HS) delivered an efficient outing with 10 points on 4-of-5 shooting while adding two assists and three steals. His fast-break layup with just over two minutes remaining pushed the Red Hawks' lead to nine and gave Ripon crucial breathing room down the stretch.

Junior Jack Field (Wisconsin Dells, Wis., Marian University) chipped in eight points, including two three-pointers, while junior Marshawn Robinson (Milwaukee, Wis. Waukesha South HS) provided a strong effort off the bench with seven points and a team-high 11 rebounds. Robinson's work on the defensive glass limited second-chance opportunities and helped Ripon finish with a 32-34 rebounding margin despite the tight contest.

Ripon shot 42.9 percent from the field and recorded 16 assists on 24 made baskets, showcasing steady ball movement in the season finale. The Red Hawks also forced 14 turnovers and turned them into eight points.

With the win, Ripon closes the season on a high note, sending its seniors out with a memorable Senior Day victory on their home floor.
