MEQUON, Wis. -- The Ripon College men's tennis team competed on the road Tuesday afternoon, falling to Concordia University Wisconsin, 7-0, at the CUW Tennis Courts.
The Red Hawks battled in doubles play, with freshman Zachary Warde (Long Beach, Calif., Los Alamitos HS) and junior Kyle Flook (Sheboygan, Wis., Sheboygan South HS) falling at No. 1 doubles, 6-3, while freshman Robert Livermore (St. Charles, Ill., St. Charles East HS) and junior Ryan Richter (Plainfield, Ill., Plainfield Central HS) dropped their No. 3 doubles match, 6-3. At No. 2 doubles, sophomore Emerson Hendricks (Ripon, Wis., Ripon HS) and senior Corey Mooney's (Greenfield, Wis., Greenfield HS) match ended due to retirement by Concordia Wisconsin.
In singles action, Warde competed at No. 2 singles, falling 6-2, 6-0. Flook dropped his No. 3 singles match, 6-2, 6-1, while Hendricks fell at No. 4 singles, 6-1, 6-1.
Livermore battled at No. 5 singles before falling 7-5, 6-2, and Richter dropped his No. 6 singles match, 6-0, 6-3. Mooney's No. 1 singles match was decided by forfeit.
The Red Hawks will next compete at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Midwest Regional Championship in Saint Peter, Minn., on Friday and Saturday, Oct 2-3.
