Jeffrey Halter

Jeffrey Halter is in his 25th season of coaching and his third season as an assistant coach for the Ripon College baseball team.
 
Halter comes to Ripon from Judson University, where he served as an Assistant Baseball Coach for the 2021-2022 season, helping the team win a CCAC tournament championship appearance and birth into NAIA National Tournament. At Judson, Halter was Catching Coordinator and Assistant Pitching Coach creating and implementing daily practice plans for the catchers, while also instituting an individualized throwing and arm care program for all pitchers, in addition to scouting and recruiting duties.

Prior to Judson, Coach Halter was recruiting coordinator and pitching coach at NJCCA Division 1 Triton College in River Grove, Illinois, for five seasons. During his time at Triton, he helped the Trojans win 4 consecutive NJCCA Region 4 championships. As a recruiter at Triton, Coach Halter had multiple recruits move on to NCAA D1 programs.

Coach Halter has also coached in numerous collegiate summer baseball leagues with stops in the Coastal Plains, Prospect, Midwest Collegiate, Chicago Suburban and the Wisconsin State Leagues.

Before Coaching collegiately, Coach Halter coached at the high school level in various capacities from 1999-2008 and 2015-2017.

Coach Halter is married to Carrie (Werner), and they reside in Schaumburg, Illinois, with 9-year-old daughter Madilyn and 6-year-old twins Mitchell and Meredith.
