Phil Pupillo

Phil Pupillo is in his seventh season as an assistant coach for the Ripon College baseball team.

Pupillo comes to Ripon from Judson University, where he served as a Graduate Assistant Baseball Coach for two years, helping the team win a pair of regular-season conference championships. At Judson, Pupillo was the head catching coach, creating and implementing daily practice plans for the catchers, while also instituting an individualized throwing and arm care program for all pitchers, in addition to scouting and recruiting duties.

Pupillo has also worked for Player's Choice Academy in Algonquin, Ill., Pro Player Consultants in McHenry, Ill., Elite Baseball Academy in Holmen, Wis., Future Swings in Marion, Ill., serving as a catching and hitting instructor at each location. He also served as an assistant coach for the Joliet Admirals of the Midwest Collegiate League in Joliet, Ill.

An Academic All-American in 2012, Pupillo earned his Associate of Arts degree from John A. Logan College in 2012. He went on to receive a B.S. in Mathematics from Viterbo University in 2015, before obtaining his MBA from Judson in 2017.

As a player, Pupillo was a part of one conference championship and two conference tournament championships at John A. Logan College. He was also a part of Viterbo's 2014 conference championship and conference tournament championship team.
