PERSONAL: Born on February 14, 1991...Son of Scott and Mary Clare Smith...Has two sisters, Mary Kate and Emily...Nickname is "Smitty"...Most memorable cycling moment is making it onto the podium at the 2011 National Championships...Chose Ripon College because I wanted to go to a school with a strong liberal arts college with a friendly campus and a cycling team...Favorite team to play is Michigan Tech and the University of Missouri...Hobbies include snowboarding, running and mini golf...Favorite athlete is Steve Peat...Season goal is to compete at Nationals...Career goal is to go to graduate school and possibly join the Peace Corps.
