Corey Bins is in his seventh year as Head Cross Country/Associate Track and Field Coach at Ripon College. In addition to leading the Cross Country program, Bins is in charge of training student-athletes from the 800 meters to the 10,000 meters during track season.

During Bins' tenure at Ripon, the school's cross country roster has grown from nine student-athletes to 41 as of the 2023 season. The 2022 Midwest Conference Cross Country Coach of the Year has coached 24 All-Conference performers for the Red Hawks including 2019 Midwest Conference (MWC) Women's champion Madie King, 2022 MWC Men's runner-up Sam Forstner, 2022 MWC Women's runner-up Mikayla Flyte, 2022 MWC Women's third-place finisher Ali Denamur and 2019 MWC Men's third-place finisher David Potter. Under Bins' direction, Ripon's men's cross country team has improved from ninth to third at the MWC Championships, while the women's team has improved from 10th to first, winning the MWC title in 2022.

In track & field, Bins has coached King to an MWC Championships in both the 5K and 10K, while also helping Potter win the 5K and 10K during the 2021 season. Bins has coached 68 All-Conference performers in track & field, while overseeing 109 top 10 all-time marks in Ripon history. In addition, he has coached 11 individual Midwest Conference champions and eight relay MWC championships.
 
Prior to arriving at Ripon, Bins spent one season as an Assistant Cross Country/Track and Field Coach at St. Norbert College in De Pere, Wis. where he helped guide the women’s program to Midwest Conference Championships in Cross Country, Indoor, and Outdoor Track and Field, while also earning Midwest Conference Coaching Staff of the Year honors.
 
During the 2015-2016 academic year, Coach Bins served as the Associate Head Cross Country/Track and Field Coach at NAIA institution Waldorf University in Forest City, Iowa. Bins led all training plan design for the Cross Country program as well as distance events during the track season. Under his leadership, Waldorf had two qualifiers for the cross country national championship, thirteen all-conference honorees, and established a total of fourteen new schools records between indoor and outdoor track seasons. Bins also earned his Masters of Arts degree in Organizational Leadership with an emphasis in Sports Management while coaching at Waldorf.
 
Prior to Waldorf, Bins spent the past six years coaching boys’ and girls’ track and cross country at Green Bay East High School in Green Bay, Wis. He served six track seasons as the head distance coach and was an assistant cross country coach for five seasons. During Bins’ time at Green Bay East, he coached four individual Division I state cross country meet qualifiers and 19 all-Fox River Classic Conference (FRCC) runners. In 2012, the Red Devils boys’ team reached the state cross country meet for the first time in 26 years. The 2012 team featured a runner who earned sixth place individually and also went on to take 18th in the Foot Locker Midwest Cross Country Regional. Green Bay East’s girls’ team qualified for the state meet for the first time in school history during the 2013 season. During Bins’ tenure, the track teams established four new school records while producing eight individual state qualifiers and seven all-conference runners. While coaching at Green Bay East, Bins worked as an English Language Learners (ELL) teacher in De Pere, Wis.
 
A native of Green Bay, Bins graduated from Green Bay Preble High School in 2005. Bins ran NCAA Division I cross country for four years at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, where he received Academic All-American Scholar honors, the University Leadership Award, and was named to the National Dean’s List. He graduated from UW-Green Bay in 2009 with a bachelor’s of arts degree in history education. Bins earned certification in athletic coaching from UW-Green Bay and also has a USA Track & Field (USATF) Level 2 endurance coaching certification.
