PERSONAL: Son of Tracy and Melvina Thomas...Nickname is "Mar"...Has three siblings, Tavius, Angel, and Jamail...Most memorable cross country moment is progressing from feeling very weak and unprepared in my first ever cross-country practice, to winning a medal at the district meet at the end of the season. (25:31 to 19:19 in the 5K)...I chose Ripon College because I was drawn in by the greater chance of a team that felt like a family. I also wanted to experience something different from the 'urban jungle' that is Houston, Texas...Hobbies include running, hangin out and being outside in nature...Favorite athlete is Allen Iverson...Season goal is to stay healthy and compete in every race, something that I have yet to do in all my years of running...Career goal is to become a high school history/social studies teacher and then later pursue an administrative position.
