Steve Burns is in his third year as Ripon's men's and women's head tennis coach. Burns previously served as president of the Wisconsin chapter of the United States Tennis Association (USTA).

Burns has been the head coach of Notre Dame Academy’s Girls Tennis program since 2012 and head coach of Boys Tennis since 2013, which earned Wisconsin’s Division II High School State Championship in 2018. Prior to that, Burns served as assistant coach of Girls Tennis from 2009-2011, earning State Championships all three years.

He served as president of the Wisconsin Chapter of the USTA from 2015-2017, and is currently a member of the organization’s Midwest Tournament Committee. He has also been captain of the men's Green Bay 4.5 Team for 16 Years.

As a player, Burns was the USTA Men’s Adult League Tennis Captain for Team Wisconsin from 2015-16.
