P.J. Senn

Coach Philip "P.J." Senn enters his first season as Head Track & Field Coach at Ripon College in 2026 after helping build one of the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference's premier programs during a four-year tenure at Concordia University Wisconsin.

During his time with the Falcons, Senn played a key role in the program's rise to conference and national prominence. In his final season, both the men's and women's teams finished among the top three at the NACC Outdoor Championships, with the men's team recording its highest conference finish since 2019. The women's program placed 15th nationally at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Championships and featured both a national champion and a national runner-up.

Working primarily with the sprints and pole vault, Senn directly coached 13 school record performances, seven conference champions, and 14 All-NACC performers. Throughout his four seasons, Concordia's men's and women's track & field programs combined for eight top-three finishes at the NACC Indoor and Outdoor Championships.

In addition to his track & field responsibilities, Senn served as Associate Head Coach for the Concordia Wisconsin cross country programs. During his tenure, the women's team captured back-to-back NACC Championships in 2023 and 2024, and the coaching staff was recognized as the 2024 NACC Coaching Staff of the Year.

Prior to Concordia, Senn served as Head Cross Country and Track & Field Coach at Beaver Dam High School while also teaching special education and Strength & Conditioning. During his three seasons leading the Golden Beavers, the programs produced nine state qualifiers and captured a WIAA Girls Cross Country Sectional Championship.

A former Division III student-athlete, Senn competed in the pole vault at the University of Dubuque, where he was a member of two Iowa Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (IIAC) Indoor Championship teams. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Special Education and Physical Education in 2018 with an endorsement in coaching before completing a Master of Science in Leadership from Concordia University Wisconsin.

Senn is committed to building a championship culture rooted in meaningful relationships, accountability, and the holistic development of student-athletes. His philosophy emphasizes excellence in competition, the classroom, and life beyond graduation, with the goal of providing every student-athlete at Ripon College with an exceptional Division III experience.
