Freddie Yalden is in the second year of her second stint as Assistant Coach for the Ripon College women's basketball program, after serving in a similar capacity during the 2008-09 season.
Yalden has several years of coaching experience, serving as the Head Coach at Waupaca (Wis.) High School for three years before moving on to the University of Nebraska-Kearney for two seasons. While at Nebraska-Kearney, Yalden served as the Interim Head Coach, Recruiting Coordinator and Summer Camp Director. Yalden began her coaching career as an assistant at Tiffin (Ohio) University, which is now an NCAA Division II school. She has worked in the medical field for the last five years.
A native of Beaver Dam, Wis., Yalden attended Wayland Academy before spending one year at Madison (Wis.) College. She then played at Division-II Northern Kentucky for two years before finishing her career at St. Vincent College (Pa.) where she earned NAIA All-American and Conference Player of the Year honors in 1998, while earning her B.S. with a concentration in Biology.
After college, Yalden played professionally for las Mets de Guaynabo in Puerto Rico.
