Red Hawks Fall To Beloit

In what was thier first home meet of the season, the Ripon women's swim team lost to Beloit on Saturday by a score of 126-68.

Despite the loss, the Red Hawks still won two of their five events on the day. In the 50 freestyle, Hannah Metz did the honors with a first-place time of 26.30, which was 0.48 seconds better than the second-place finisher. Winona Holmes-Robbins was the other Ripon women's swimmer to win an event, as she placed first in the 400 IM with a time of 5:06.85, which was 17 seconds better than the next-best time. In their lone relay of the meet, Sara Heitkamp, Sara Driebel, Sierra Landholm and Kristen Letten teamed up to finish third in the 200 medley with a time of 2:26.12.

The Red Hawks will have next week off from competition, before resuming the season on December 6 at the Grinnell College Invitational in Grinnell, Iowa.
