DUBUQUE, Iowa -
Competing in their first meet of the 2015-16 season, the Ripon men's swim team gave Loras College all they could handle Saturday afternoon, before losing a dual meet to the Duhawks, 104-100.

The Red Hawks finished first in four different events Saturday, with a pair of freshmen winning two apiece in their first collegiate meet. Jack Lutter won the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:55.65, while also placing first in the 100 backstroke (1:00.60). Fellow first-year player, Nate Pakosz, won the 50 freestyle (22.97) and the 100 freestyle (50.34). In the relay competition, Pakosz teamed up with Antony Gradilas, Alex Mehre, and Alec Sutton to take first place in the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:33.91.

Ripon will be in action again next weekend when they'll host Lawrence University in their first of three home dual meets this season. That meet will begin Saturday at 1 p.m. at Storzer Center in Ripon.
