Swim & Dive Turns in Solid Effort at Wisconsin Private Championships

KENOSHA, Wis. -- The Ripon College swim & dive teams wrapped up competition at the Wisconsin Private College Championships, hosted by Carthage College, with solid mid-pack finishes against a strong field.

The Red Hawk men placed seventh overall, while the Ripon women finished sixth following two days of competition against the top private programs in the state. Across the meet, Ripon athletes turned in consistent performances in both individual and relay events, using the championship setting as a key tune-up against postseason-caliber competition.

On the women's side, Ripon saw steady contributions throughout the lineup, highlighted by competitive swims in the freestyle and medley relays as well as strong individual efforts in distance and IM events. The depth across events helped the Red Hawks accumulate points and secure their sixth-place finish in the team standings.

The men matched that consistency, earning seventh place overall behind a balanced effort across sprint, distance, and relay races. Ripon's swimmers stayed competitive throughout the meet, gaining valuable experience racing in finals sessions and navigating a championship-style format.

With the Wisconsin Private College Championships now complete, both Red Hawk squads will turn their attention to the Midwest Conference Championships, scheduled for Feb 19-22 at Grinnell College. The meet will serve as the culmination of the season, with Ripon looking to build on the momentum and experience gained in Kenosha.
