Red Hawks Defeat Beloit In Convincing Fashion

Hosting their second dual meet of the season, the Ripon women's swim team defeated Beloit College by a score of 140-49.

The Red Hawks had three swimmers win multiple events during the meet. Emma Goral took first place in the 50 freestyle (25.60) and 200 butterfly (2:09.86), while Hannah Metz won the 200 freestyle (2:07.08) and 100 freestyle (58.25). Winona Holmes-Robbins added first-place finishes in the 400 IM (5:01.86) and 200 backstroke (2:21.22). Also winning an event on Saturday were Abby Hilker in the 1650 freestyle (20:06.54) and Gabby Horstmeier in the 200 breaststroke (2:46.86).

Ripon also won both relays that were swam. In the 200 medley, Holmes-Robbins, Horstmeier, Goral and Metz teamed up to swim a time of 1:59.75, while Ripon's 200 freestyle team of Hilker, Lateesha Hiser, Katherine King and Kim Frisque finished with a winning time of 1:50.86.

The Red Hawks will have next week off from competition, before jumping back in the pool on December 4 at the Grinnell Pioneer Classic in Grinnell, Iowa.
