RIPON, Wis. - The Ripon College men's soccer team defeated Bethany Lutheran 2-0 Saturday afternoon to improve their record to 2-0 for the first time since 2010, which was the last time the program won the Midwest Conference Championship.
It didn't take long for the Red Hawks to get on the board, as
Cameron Greene scored his first goal of the year just two minutes into the contest. The only other goal of the game came a couple minutes into the second half when
Brenden Raasch notched his second goal of the season on an assist from
Logan Wright.
Goal Keeper
Jimmy Amedeo posted his first career shutout for the Red Hawks, making eight saves in his 90 minutes of work. His counterpart Leeroy Leal also played the entire game between the pipes, saving seven shots.
The Red Hawks will try to remain undefeated on Thursday when they'll travel to Maranatha Baptist. That game will begin at 3 p.m. in Watertown, Wis.
