APPLETON, Wis. - Ripon's women's swimming team lost to Lawrence University in a dual meet Saturday afternoon, 137-67. The Red Hawks finished with two first-place finishes on the day.

Abby Hilker and Emma Goral each won an event for Ripon. Hilker placed first in the 200 IM with a time of 2:24.48, while Goral placed first in the 100 butterfly with a time of 1:00.75. Hilker added a third-place finish in the 500 freestyle with a time of 5:45.06. Winona Holmes-Robbins also saw success with a second-place finish in the 200 IM (2:24.68), just 0.2 seconds behind Hilker's winning time. Lateesha Hiser added a second-place finish in both the 50 freestyle (26.76) and 100 backstroke (1:08.70).

The Red Hawks will take next weekend off from competition, before diving back in on November 12 when they'll travel to Lake Forest College for a dual meet with the Foresters in Lake Forest, Ill.
