AUBURNDALE, Fla. - Ripon lost to Anderson (Ind.) University Monday morning by a score of 2-0, as the two teams combined for just 10 hits in the game, including just one extra-base hit, a double by Anderson.
The Ravens (3-7) scored their first run in the top of the first on an RBI groundout by Connor Morris. The only other run of the game came in the top of the seventh, as Anderson doubled their lead on an RBI single to left field by Devon Traylor.
Ripon's three hits came off the bat of 
Nick Kita, 
Randy Finger and 
Robbie Schuettpelz. 
Brandon Hughes (0-1) pitched well, but was saddled with the loss, allowing two runs on five hits and striking out three in 6.2 innings of work.
Anderson was led by two hits apiece from Branton Sanders and Jacob Morgan. Brian Page (2-1) earned the victory, pitching seven innings of scoreless ball, scattering two hits and striking out seven, while walking two. John Becker earned his first save of the year with a perfect ninth inning.
The Red Hawks (1-3) will be in action again on Tuesday against the second-ranked team in Division-III and last year's National runner-up UW-LaCrosse. That doubleheader will begin at 2 p.m. ET at Lake Myrtle Park Main Field in Auburndale, Fla.
