OSHKOSH, Wis. - One week after losing to UW-Oshkosh in Ripon, the Red Hawks suffered a similar fate 20 miles up the road. Ripon lost to the Titans 8-1 Tuesday afternoon in a game that featured just 11 hits between the two teams.

Ripon (6-18) scored the first run of the game, taking a 1-0 lead in the first inning on an RBI single from Randy Finger, which scored Isiah Ramos from second base. That would be all the runs the Red Hawks would get however, and UW-Oshkosh (9-13-1) tied things up with a run in the bottom of the second. The Titans took the lead on a home run by Alex Koch to lead off the third and added to that lead with a run in the sixth and five more on two hits and three Ripon errors in the seventh.

Ripon's five hits came from four different players with Ramos leading the way by going 2-for-3 at the plate. Aaron Langdon (1-2) took the loss, despite allowing just two earned runs on five hits, while striking out four in 6.2 innings of work.

UW-Oshkosh finished with six hits, as Andy Brahier led the way by going 2-for-4 with an RBI and two runs scored. Max Keough (1-2) earned the win, allowing one run on five hits and striking out five in seven innings.

The Red Hawks will get back to conference play this weekend when they'll play the first two games of a four-game series against Carroll University. That doubleheader will begin Saturday at 1 p.m. in Waukesha, Wis.
