Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

Red Hawks Remain Undefeated

RIPON, Wis. - For the first time in program history, the Ripon College women's soccer team has started a season with a 4-0 record. They defeated Concordia-Chicago Sunday by a score of 3-0 to earn their fourth consecutive victory, the last three of which have come via shutout.

The Red Hawks broke a scoreless tie in the ninth minute when freshman Paige Pierce scored her third goal of the season thanks to an assist from Morgan Johnson. Ten minutes later, she found the back of the net once again off a pass from Paige Birschbach to double Ripon's lead. Just two minutes after that, Ripon was on the board again when Kaylee Tadych scored her fourth goal of the season on an open net with Johnson recording her second assist of the contest. That would be all the scoring in the game, as Ripon played solid defense, led by center back Emily Stanczak, to secure the shutout.

Ripon Goal Keeper Miye Aoki-Kramer played all 90 minutes, making 10 saves. She has now played nearly 304 minutes this season without allowing a single goal. Concordia-Chicago's Madeline Kroll and Allyson Krajnak combined for eight saves in the contest.

Ripon will try to keep things rolling on Wednesday when they'll host Marian (Wis.) University. That game will begin at 4:30 p.m. at Prairie Field.
